Sludge Buster is an advanced blend of freeze-dried bacteria and enzymes that will actively consume the sludge that accumulates on the bottom of the pond. Left alone this sludge will harbour fish pathogens and detract from the water clarity as well as causing poor water quality.

Works well in spring and autumn, in summer have to use it more frequently due to sun causing much more algae. Delivery was a problem it had to be sent again as first lot did not arrive.

The product has worked well and does exactly what it says it will do. The frogs and sticklebacks haven’t complained and the daily bathtime by the sparrows still goes on. Good ol Amazon!!!!!!!!!!!

I have only a small pond but it used to sludge up pretty badly. Half a sachet 5 weeks ago, half a sachet 3 weeks ago. Can still see the bottom of the pond and no clouding of the water. Will buy some more when this packet runs out.

I have had both my two Blagdon Inpond 3000 units running in my garden for nearly a year now and found them both to be excellent. The water quality they produce has been fantastic and my fish have never looked happier since. The maintenance time is around once every 2 months and it is really easily done using the carry handle and cartridge provided. I would recommend though that you stock up on spare polymer wool pads as these are what polish the water to perfection – nothing else like it on the market!
It also has a big UV at 9w’s and also a LED light which is very bright at night but at a very low energy usage level. It creates wonderful fountains and also feeds my waterfall well with plenty of flow to oxygenate my pond. Just a great all round pond product perfect for your pond, highly recommended.
