   Bought this on behalf of my brother in law, who has a gravity fed filter on his pond, but the water was pea green, that bad you could not see the gold fish just inches under the surface. I installed the light in line about 2ft from the filter on the pipe coming from the pump. After about 2 weeks it was absolutely crystal clear. [He was washing off the filter mats every couple of day washing of the dead algae]
