Brilliant little light, one of these gives a prefect amount of light in my 60L tank. Would definitely recommend highlight,

It seems to take about 10w, so barely a few pence an hour to run!

If your even considering it you should have bought it by now

I purchased this with my amazon prime and as expected it arrived the next day, it is brilliantly bright and far superior to the slightly more expensive tmc flexible led strip and it is also closer to pure actinic light, really bringing out the glowing fluorescent properties of all my corals and anemones, but would look equally good for a freshwater or cold water ! Took my a little while too situated it in a good place that was solid and secure and I now have it running before and after my main t5′s I would highly recommend this to anyone it’s a bargain price from a reputable brand and really worth considering !

I bought this for my daughter when her hood light unit broke. I reckon you want two for a 30″ tank, but they are cheap, bright and completely waterproof.

Recommend you screw the holding brackets into the hood as the sticky fixers work well at first but succumb to the heat and moisture after a while (which is how I can attest to the “completely waterproof”). Screws and sticky fixers were included.

    Excellent Handbook, 24 Dec 2010

This chunky handbook proved to be quite indispensible in helping me setup my first community aquariums all those moons ago, and even though it is a hardback, my copy is very well thumbed. It breaks down information into small, easy to understand sections, covering all the basics and fundamentals including, equipment, water conditions, health problems, and most importantly (at least for me), the fish.

The species guide covers a very good selection of the many species you may encounter in the display tanks of your local fish stockist, and includes a good number of unusual species besides. It helpfully splits the species guide into specific sections and provides a decent summary of the requirements of the fish and their compatibility with tankmates and your aquarium.

This book is well worth adding to your shelf, it contains almost the entire contents of An Interpet Guide to the Healthy Aquarium (Fishkeeper’s Guides), so it offers terrific value for money.

i’m surprised they could get that much information into such a small book, great info and pictures make this a very useful book to have at hand, its almost, but not quite pocket size.with my copy being a hard backed one i was surprised how good the condition really was, and being on the smaller size means that it will neatly by any aquarium, on any book case or even tucked away inside the aquarium cabinet.all in all a great little book.
