Pool Heater

  • FOR USE IN CONJUNCTION WITH A FILTER PUMP WITH A FLOW RATE OF 1900 - 9500 LITRES PER HOUR
  • SUITABLE FOR POOLS WITH CAPACITY BELOW 17,000L
  • 230VOLTS AC
  • CAN BE USED WITH SALTWATER SYSTEMS OR CHLORINE GENERATORS

What can I expect from my heater? The maximum achievable temperature will depend on your pool size, the air temperature and how well the pool is insulated by the use of ground and solar covers. Typically, for a well insulated 10ft inflatable pool of 3500litres, you can anticipate a 5-6degC rise in temperature above ambient after a 12hour period. Don't forget that the pool will cool at night when the air temperature drops. The heater will be less effective with larger pools which will take longer to heat. The achievable top temperature may also be slightly lower.

Cannot fault this heater as I have tried others with no joy. Even my fish linger near it when there is ice all over the pond. The heater gives a good sized area around it free of ice, so ideal for the rough weather.Easy to install too. A neon light showing it’s working would improve it though……….!

I’m using this 3klw heater in conjunction with the Intex filter pump to heat my spa. It works very well, water temperature is raised by 5 degrees an hour and easily reaches 96 degrees water temp, for comfortable hot tub/spa use. A word of warning though, this is not a toy and safety is built into this heater, it comes with heavy duty power lead plus RDC plug fitted. This heater will not run safely on an extention lead. So thought needs to given as to how the unit will get power before purchase. Also there is no thermostatic control, therefore cannot be left unattended for long periods.

This heater is ideal for pools up to 12 foot.I use it on mine 12′x 4′and it does make a difference to the water temp though takes a while to make it noticeable.Costs about the same as imersion heater to run so i use it sparingly and keep a cover on the pool when possible to keep the heat in.
Easy to set up and proberably pound per pound the best heater on the market for the price.

BE PATIENT – this little heater really does the trick – it takes about 2-3 days to heat a big splasher pool to 24 degrees but it gets there – and will probably heat it up more than that if I kept it on.

This heater was bought to take the chill off an Intex 15 ft x 48inch splasher pool – that 10,000 litres of water this little thing has to warm up. I was not expecting great things from it as the splacher pool is basically a large plastic bowl, and not insulated in any way. To put it into perspective, our Jacuzzi (which has a thermal cover and is fully insulated) takes 18 hours to heat up from cold…

The only down side is that there is no thermostat, so if I had left it on and forgotten about it for weeks then I don’t know what would happen.
The minor down side is that the cord is not very long so you have to have your pool very close to the house or install an outside plug with covered houseing next to where you want your pool to live (which is what we did, and if my hubby wasn’t an electrician it would probably have cost as much as the pool and heater put together)

A great buy for the money.
