I give this pond pump 5 stars because it works very well and is constructed better than expected for the money, this is what really matters in the long term. The pump is made to sit in the pond using good size tubing to an external filter where particles from the pond are dumped and clean water is returned to the pond. If twigs or weed get stuck in the impeller you will need a correct fitting phillips screwdriver to remove 4 screws to open the case, the opening to the impeller is fairly large and long nose pliers or a cocktail stick will be able to remove most trapped particles without further dismantling. Should weed etc. become impacted around the impeller then 3 more phillips head screws need to be removed that will will allow the impeller casing to be removed leaving the impeller completely free for cleaning. Carefully align the impeller housing before returning the 3 phillips screws then place the whole unit back in the outer casing and screw back the 4 phillips screws. When using large hose remember to cut off the smaller stepped sections on the pump so as not to restrict water flow and when using steel clips try to get marine quality stainless steel as these will not rust for the life of the pond. Remember that the pump moves large amounts of water at low pressure and is not to be used for fountains as the particles that pass through will soon block the sprays.
Apart from being harder to open for cleaning than my old Titan 3000 that this pump replaces after 9 years it works just as well for half the price and less watts. At the time of writing this review the pondpush 3200 has been in use for about 1 month.
    Update.
The pump has worked all through the winter without fail.

    Still working April 2013.

Good low cost pump does the same as the expensive ones, have to undo four phillips screws to un clog the pump every month or so but thats easy, could just be my pond having loads of mess to clear though.

I was very pleased with this pump. It was more powerful than I expected and I had to reduce the flow for my small waterfall. The pump is conveniently supplied with a long power cable. I use it to raise the water about 80CM from the surface of the pond to a distance of about 1.5 metres. The pump sits another 30 to 40 cm under the water. The flow is very good and from my limited experience with pond pumps I would have no hesitation in recommending this pump.
